The Lansburgh Eagle Sculpture

About

Lansburgh Building in Washington, DC & St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH

1992

This 8-foot-high bronze, soaring eagle was commissioned by architect Graham Gund to be the centerpiece in the courtyard of The Lansburgh apartments in Washington, D.C. The eagle is perched on a solid, granite column in the middle of the terrace gardens. Several years later a second copy was cast for installation in a plaza at St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire.
